Bluegrass favorites "The Roys" much anticipated album "Lonesome Whistle" features this lead single “Coal Minin’ Man”, a foot-tapping mid-tempo that speaks about those blue collar workers that spend half their life below the earth. The music video was filmed in coal country Hazard, Kentucky. “Getting to film this video on an actual coal mine and being around real coal miners was incredible. After seeing how hard they work every day I have a new found respect for them. They are the backbone of America,” says Elaine.

We can't wait to have Buddy Jewell back on the show to cook with us! Buddy appeared in our "Celebrity Series" at the Hank Williams Estate a few years ago and cooked over the open fire - in the new series, he'll be cooking with us again, preparing recipes for the grill. We're sure to have a great time filming those episodes...and we're sure you'll enjoy spending time with this remarkable Country & Gospel Music Artist!

As if having The Roys and Buddy Jewell weren't enough, we're also excited to bring back one of our favorite artists from the Celebrity Series - Andy Griggs! Andy was such a riot filming with us and the whole crew is looking forward to having him back. Guess I better come up with a recipe to beat the cornish game hens, turnips and sweet potatoes he made with us last time! Andy will be filming with us for the new Spring 2012 season of Campfire Cafe!

RFD-TV Broadcast

After a three year hiatus, the Campfire Cafe returned to the RFD-TV network last July. Look for exciting new episodes as we continue to cook over the open fire, but we'll also be showing you how to cook everything on your gas grill! The show airs weekly on Monday at 5:30 PM EST, repeating Tuesday at 3:30 AM EST and Sunday at 5:00 am EST. Our new series will premiere in Fall 2011.

Jazzed-Up Peach Cake Recipe

Sharing recipes and cooking tips is a big part of our daily life, as I generally cook every day, and we usually have friends over to eat with us. I recently baked a cake poolside and our friends could not believe such a moist, dense cake came out of a box! So, I thought I'd share my secret in this quick video. To bake your cake on a gas grill, it's best to have 3 or 4 burners. Turn on the two outside burners and heat to 350°. Use an oven-safe baking dish (I use silicone) in the middle - not over direct heat - and bake about 35-40 mins. Just keep an eye on the temp, and adjust to maintain 350°.
